2IC / Assistant Parts Manager – Automotive Parts & eCommerce

Help lead the next stage of growth in a successful, expanding automotive parts business.

Huntermotive Group is seeking an experienced 2IC / Assistant Parts Manager for our Chester Hill operation. This hands-on, senior role combines traditional wholesale trade and workshop support with driving our rapidly expanding online channels (eBay and digital storefronts).

Reporting to the Parts Manager, you will have genuine ownership and influence over online growth, wholesale performance, and day-to-day operations- stepping up to manage the department in their absence.

Key Responsibilities

- eCommerce & Online Growth: Drive sales across eBay and digital channels. Manage listings, pricing, fitment accuracy, merchandising, and the end-to-end customer journey from enquiry to dispatch.
- Wholesale & Trade: Maintain strong relationships with repairers, panel shops, and trade customers to support commercial performance.
- Stock & Operations: Oversee purchasing, optimise stock turn, reduce obsolete inventory,



and work hands-on with the team to ensure effective picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Leadership: Supervise daily workflow and act up for the Parts Manager when required.

About You

- Proven experience in automotive parts interpreting and sales with deep knowledge of parts and fitment.
- Solid grasp of gross profit, margins, and commercial performance.
- Experience with inventory management, purchasing, and supplier relations.
- Previous team leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.

Highly Regarded

- Hands-on experience with eBay or online marketplaces.
- Experience in wholesale trade or the automotive repair/panel industry.
- Familiarity with automotive DMS and parts systems (Pentana preferred).
