We are seeking a motivated and experienced Occupational Hygiene Consultant to join our growing team in Canberra. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is passionate about protecting worker health and helping clients create protected, healthy, and compliant workplaces across a range of industries.

Working closely with our clients, you will provide expert occupational hygiene advice, conduct workplace exposure assessments, and deliver practical solutions that support legislative compliance and best practice.

About the Role

As an Occupational Hygiene Consultant, you will:

- Conduct occupational hygiene assessments, including exposure monitoring for dusts, hazardous chemicals, noise, asbestos, welding fumes, silica, diesel particulate matter, and other workplace hazards.
- Undertake workplace inspections and risk assessments across a variety of industries.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and professional technical reports with practical recommendations.
- Interpret monitoring results and provide advice aligned with Australian legislation, standards, and industry best practice.
- Develop exposure monitoring strategies and assist clients in implementing effective control measures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through high-quality technical advice and responsive service.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary health, safety, and environmental professionals.




- Contribute to business development opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A degree in Occupational Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in occupational hygiene consulting or a similar technical role.
- A sound understanding of Australian workplace health and safety legislation and exposure standards.
- Strong technical writing and report preparation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.
- A current Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel to client sites as required.

Desirable

- Full or Provisional Certification as an Occupational Hygienist (COH/POH) or eligibility to obtain certification.
- Experience with asbestos, hazardous materials, indoor air quality, mould investigations, ventilation assessments, or contamination investigations.
- Experience using occupational hygiene monitoring equipment and interpreting analytical results.
