Petals on Parade is looking for an experienced and creative Casual Florist to join our team. This role offers a minimum of 20 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional hours during busy periods.

We're more than just a florist. Alongside our beautiful fresh flowers, we offer a fantastic range of gifts, gourmet hampers, homewares, and seasonal products.

Key Responsibilities:

- Designing and creating beautiful bouquets, floral arrangements, and gift presentations to a high standard.

- Preparing, processing, and caring for fresh flowers to ensure the highest quality for our customers.

- Assisting customers in-store and over the phone, offering product recommendations and creating a welcoming shopping experience.

- Preparing online orders, gift hampers, and deliveries with care and attention to detail.

- Merchandising and maintaining attractive displays of flowers, gifts, hampers, and homewares throughout the store.

- Opening and closing the store, including completing daily operational tasks, cash handling, and ensuring the store is presented to a high standard.

- Maintaining a clean, organised, and effective workspace while supporting your team to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the business.

About you:

- Minimum 2 years' florist experience is essential, with confidence in creating a wide range of bouquets and arrangements





- A creative eye with a modern floral style that aligns with the Petals on Parade brand, along with the ability to create beautiful, on-trend designs using seasonal flowers.

- Passion for flowers and a genuine desire to create memorable arrangements that exceed customer expectations.

- Excellent attention to detail, taking pride in producing high-quality work and maintaining presentation standards throughout the store.

- Friendly, approachable, and professional, with outstanding customer service skills

- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment, manage multiple orders, and remain calm under pressure during busy periods.

- A reliable team player who can also work independently, show initiative, and contribute positively to a supportive workplace.

- Comfortable assisting with all aspects of the business, including flower care, visual merchandising, online orders, gift and hamper preparation, and maintaining a clean and organised workspace.

Availability:

- Casual position with a minimum of 20 hours per week.

- Saturday availability is essential.

- We are closed on Sundays!

- No late night trade

- Based in Kensington Gardens

- On-site / street parking available
