Position overview:
- Liaise with stakeholders across the business, including management, to understand operational requirements and business change needs.
- Lead stakeholder engagement activities to identify challenges and develop practical business solutions.
- Provide expert advice on business processes, systems, data and technology solutions.
- Influence strategic direction regarding the implementation of new technologies, applications, tools and business processes.
- Develop a detailed understanding of business operations, strategic priorities and operational challenges.
- Research and identify opportunities for business improvement, innovation and operational efficiencies.
- Facilitate change initiatives through effective communication with stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Lead business analysis activities including requirements gathering, workshops, process mapping and documentation.
- Develop process maps, procedures, templates, tools and change management artefacts.
- Lead the creation and maintenance of project and business improvement documentation in accordance with government project methodologies.
- Mentor and coach junior team members and provide guidance on business analysis practices.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of business analysis frameworks, methodologies, templates and tools.
- Support the successful delivery of business improvement and technology implementation initiatives.
Mandatory position requirements:
- Experience engaging with a range of stakeholders and market leaders to gather information and ideas to understand the issues faced by the client in the construction & maintenance sector.
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings, recommendations and potential solutions in a structured way to senior management.
- Proven ability to adopt a strategic and innovative perspective to solving business problems, through thorough research on emerging technologies and solutions.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in using business analysis techniques to successfully provide recommendations for business improvements, particularly in the practices of information technology, business processes, systems and data.
- Demonstrated self-direction and ability to work flexibly without supervision.
While not mandatory, our ideal candidate will have a robust interest in emerging technologies and have experience or qualifications in one or more of the following areas:
- Business Analysis/Information Technology
- Knowledge/expertise in areas, such as business process improvement, business intelligence, enterprise systems, IoT and mobile technologies, and data science.
- Project management or improvement methodologies
