We're partnering with one of Australia's leading life insurers on a significant multi-year enterprise transformation.
Following years of growth and acquisitions, the organisation is modernising its core technology landscape by simplifying legacy platforms, defining a strategic target state and delivering a long-term transformation roadmap across critical business capabilities.
This is a highly strategic Enterprise Architect prospect, working at the intersection of business and technology to help shape the future architecture of the organisation.
The Role
As an Enterprise Architect, you'll work closely with senior business and technology leaders to define future-state architecture, evaluate strategic options and guide the transformation of complex enterprise platforms.
Rather than focusing on individual solution delivery, you'll provide architectural leadership across large-scale transformation initiatives, balancing business outcomes, technology strategy, risk and long-term maintainability.
You’ll play a key role in defining transition roadmaps, assessing platform dependencies, supporting investment decisions and ensuring architectural alignment across multiple workstreams.
Responsibilities:
- Define enterprise target-state architecture and multi-year transformation roadmaps.
- Assess current-state business capabilities, applications and technology platforms.
- Develop architecture options, transition strategies and investment recommendations.
- Work closely with executive stakeholders to align technology strategy with business objectives.
- Lead architecture governance, design reviews and decision-making forums.
- Identify opportunities to simplify technology landscapes and reduce complexity.
- Collaborate with business,
engineering and delivery teams to guide strategic transformation.
- Produce architecture artefacts including capability models, conceptual architectures, reference architectures and roadmap views.

About You
You’ll be an experienced Enterprise Architect who enjoys solving complex business problems rather than simply designing technology solutions.

You'll ideally have experience across:
- Enterprise Architecture and strategic technology planning.
- Large-scale business and technology transformation.
- Target-state architecture and transition planning.
- Application portfolio assessment and rationalisation.
- Architecture governance and executive stakeholder engagement.
- Financial Services, Insurance or another highly regulated industry.
Exposure to life insurance, policy administration platforms or large-scale insurance transformation programs will be highly regarded, but is not essential.
