What will the role involve?

Under the direction of the Production Manager, you will support the efficient and smooth operations of Wholesale Food Group. You will provide essential production supervision and will work closely with Senior Production Supervisor to ensure that daily tasks and projects are completed effectively. If we were to give you a "snapshot", the role would look something like:

- Work under general supervision either individually or in a team environment.
- Implement production plans to satisfy customer orders and demand, as set by the Production Manager.
- Understand and applies quality control techniques through;
- Monitoring and maintaining the site in a protected operating manner to ensure staff safety and equipment in a safe and operable condition.
- Monitoring and maintaining site operations to achieve food safety, GMP and quality standards for all products produced.
- Exercise judgment and decision-making skills in supporting the production team, health and safety, quality and Senior Production Supervisor and Production Manager.
- Fill in for staff during periods of unscheduled leave and absence.
- Liaising with management with respect to stores operations, including;
- Informing Production Manager when supplies are getting low, or equipment is not working properly.
- Supervise up to 25 other employees, monitoring, detailing and coordinating activities, using good interpersonal and communication skills, such as;
- Provide supervision to the processed products, mixing and production areas.




- Lead and delegate tasks and responsibilities as required to ensure the efficient implementation of the production plan and to manage your and others' workloads within their duties and skills capabilities.
- Ensure team are following Wholesale Food Group recipes and standard operating procedures to ensure Company quality control/assurance standards and report quality deviations/faults to the Production Supervisor immediately.
- Ensure team storage, handling, control and administration of products are in accordance with Wholesale Food Group integrity standards and legal requirements.
- Ensure that the team receive adequate breaks within their work arrangements. This may include operating lines as required during break periods.
- Oversee and supervise all staff to ensure a harmonious workplace and address issues as they arise.
- Report and elevate issues as necessary to Senior Production Supervisor and/or Production Manager.
- Work closely with the Senior Production Supervisor and Production Manager in a supportive function and relieve during periods of absence and leave.

What we are looking for:

- Previous experience in food manufacturing supervision (Cert III in Commercial Cookery or Cert IV in Food Processing highly desirable)
- Able to work autonomously and take ownership of your role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability and willingness to learn
- Demonstrated levels of initiative, efficiency, perseverance and flexibility, necessary to contribute to the workplace community
