Pomona Bakery on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a passionate and skilled Pastry Chef to join our growing team.

We are a busy local bakery dedicated to producing fresh, high-quality breads, pastries, cakes and baked goods for our community. We take pride in traditional baking methods, attention to detail, friendly service and maintaining a positive team environment.

About the Role

As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and producing a range of pastries, cakes, desserts and bakery items to a high standard. You will work closely with the bakery team to ensure consistency, quality and smooth daily production.

Key Duties

- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, slices, desserts and other bakery products.
- Ensure all products meet quality, taste, presentation and consistency standards.
- Follow recipes, production schedules and food safety procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and organisation in the pastry and bakery areas.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients when required.




- Minimise waste and support efficient kitchen and bakery operations.
- Assist with training and supporting junior staff where needed.
- Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced bakery workplace.

Requirements

- Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pastry preparation, baking techniques and food safety standards.
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends and busy service periods.
- Good attention to detail and pride in presentation.
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work well in a team.
- A positive attitude and passion for quality bakery products.
- A supportive and friendly team environment.
