Join Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology as a Molecular Pathology Scientist and play a key role in delivering high-quality diagnostic services that directly support patient care. Working within a modern, fast-paced laboratory, you’ll gain hands‑on experience across a range of molecular microbiology techniques and advanced instrumentation.

This full time position involves working across weekday shifts, rostered weekends, and public holidays as required. Shift start times typically range between 7:00am and 11:00am, depending on roster allocations. Rostered Saturday work is required, either as part of a Tuesday-Saturday roster or as overtime following a standard Monday-Friday shift.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform a range of diagnostic molecular microbiology laboratory techniques
- Complete all duties relevant to assigned laboratory sections in accordance with departmental procedures
- Maintain high laboratory quality standards in line with quality management system requirements
- Adhere to occupational health and safety policies and procedures
- Deliver reliable and efficient service to internal and external customers
- Provide training and support to other staff as required
- Maintain professional development through scientific learning and participation in continuing education
- Undertake additional duties to support operational and organisational objectives
- Demonstrate professional conduct in line with the SNP Code of Conduct

- A degree in a relevant scientific discipline from a recognised tertiary institution
- Proficiency and confidence using Microsoft Excel
- Previous experience in molecular microbiology or general microbiology techniques (highly regarded but not essential)
