THE ROLE

This is a Project‑Based Purchasing Role - Bespoke Manufacturing - 10+ Projects per week. Working as part of a core team of eight, you will be accountable for maintaining specific supplier relationships and purchase categories for all custom tank projects. You are also expected to identify and anticipate supplier‑related risks to the schedule, such as machine/plant breakdowns or maintenance shutdowns.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA

- Ability to plan timelines around fixed deadlines from a master schedule. Working with supplier lead times for just‑in‑time delivery
- Familiar with CAD drawings and file types required for ODM ordering
- Understanding of General Fabrication & Sheetmetal processes (laser cut/cut/fold/weld)




- Knowledge/Understanding of Metal material grades & coatings
- Quality Assurance
- Demonstrate understanding of ERP system purchasing & demand planning methodology (Micronet preferred)
- Understanding of project‑based job costing and working with the finance department
- Ability to assess supplier capacity, anticipate constraints, and develop alternative sourcing strategies/solutions

From time to time, you will assist in executing general ad‑hoc Purchase Orders relating to stock, factory consumables, construction tools & sundry items.

- 5+ years of experience purchasing

- Exposure to products/projects in a Tier 1 construction environment
