Australian Management Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Accommodation Manager to join our team in Port Douglas, Queensland. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to lead and manage accommodation operations in one of Australia's most stunning tropical destinations. As Accommodation Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accommodation services, ensuring exceptional guest experiences whilst maintaining operational excellence and profitability. This role is pivotal in delivering the high standards of service that define our business and contribute to the success of our hospitality operations.

Key responsibilities

Supervise and manage all accommodation staff, including housekeeping, maintenance and reception teams, ensuring high performance and professional conduct

Oversee daily accommodation operations, including room allocations, guest services and facilities management

Implement and maintain housekeeping standards, cleanliness protocols and quality assurance procedures across all guest rooms and common areas

Manage accommodation budgets, including staffing costs, supplies and maintenance expenditure, whilst achieving revenue targets

Respond to and resolve guest complaints and concerns promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction and retention

Coordinate with other departments including food and beverage, front office and activities to ensure seamless guest experiences

Conduct regular inspections of accommodation facilities and coordinate maintenance and repairs as required

Manage inventory, ordering and stock control of housekeeping supplies and equipment

Train, develop and mentor accommodation staff,



fostering a positive team culture and supporting professional development

Maintain detailed records and reports on occupancy, guest feedback, incidents and operational performance

Ensure compliance with health, safety, security and environmental regulations and company policies

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience in accommodation management or a similar hospitality management role within a hotel, resort or similar establishment

Proven track record of successfully managing housekeeping teams and maintaining high cleanliness and service standards

Strong understanding of accommodation operations, including room management systems, inventory control and maintenance coordination

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve guest concerns tactfully and professionally

Demonstrated financial acumen with experience in budget management, cost control and revenue optimisation

Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with experience in training and developing staff

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively across departments

Problem-solving abilities and flexibility to adapt to changing operational needs

Proficiency in hospitality management software and computer systems

Current knowledge of health and safety standards and accommodation industry best practices





Certification in hospitality management or related qualification is advantageous

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays as required
