About TGI Cargo

TGI Cargo is an Australian-owned international freight forwarding and project logistics company specialising in complex cargo movements across Australia and globally. We deliver tailored logistics solutions across air, sea and road freight, supporting industries including mining, construction, government and infrastructure.

We are seeking an experienced Finance & Business Support Officer to join our Brisbane team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support the business during a period of parental leave.

About the Role

This position is primarily responsible for supporting the finance function while also coordinating a range of business support activities that contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of the business.

This is a hands-on role that would suit someone with a robust finance background who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work and is happy to step in and support the wider team when needed.

Key Responsibilities

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Process the fortnightly payroll.

Complete daily banking and bank reconciliations.

Assist with month-end finance activities.

Monitor outstanding accounts and follow up overdue debtors.

Coordinate employee travel, accommodation and itineraries.





Coordinate conference registrations and event attendance.

Order company merchandise, uniforms and office supplies.

Provide administrative support across the business.

Assist the Managing Director and Leadership Team with general administrative tasks.

Support business improvement initiatives and day-to-day office operations.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

Demonstrated experience in a finance or accounting role with responsibility for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and bank reconciliations.

Strong financial literacy and a sound understanding of finance administration processes.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

A professional, confidential and proactive approach to your work.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Experience using CargoWise.

Experience within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
