We are seeking an experienced and hands-on AM Fleet Supervisor to take ownership of our morning distribution operation.

This is a hands-on, standalone role responsible for coordinating and organising all aspects of the operational distribution, with support from the Queensland Operations Manager. The role will oversee the daily allocation of drivers, vehicles and freight, respond to absenteeism and operational issues and ensure all morning freight is loaded and dispatched safely and on time.

About the Role

Working in a fast-paced depot environment, you will coordinate the daily AM pickup and delivery operation, respond to absenteeism and operational issues, and make practical decisions to keep freight moving.

This role will suit someone who is organised, safety-focused and confident working independently while maintaining clear communication with drivers, subcontractors and management.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate the daily AM pickup and delivery operation
- Allocate drivers, vehicles and freight to scheduled runs
- Reallocate freight or arrange approved outside-hire support when required
- Supervise and support AM drivers with freight, delivery and operational issues
- Load and unload linehaul vehicles
- Assist with sorting, staging and loading freight as required
- Supervise the loading of subcontractor and outside-hire vehiclesEnsure freight is correctly labelled, allocated and dispatched within required timeframes
- Follow up delayed, damaged, misdirected or undelivered freight
- Complete daily dock, dispatch and freight exception reporting
- Coordinate delivery time bookings for allocated drivers
- Maintain pallet and operational equipment records




- Reset and prepare the depot for the next shift
- Maintain a safe, organised and compliant working environment
- Keep the Operations Manager informed of delays, risks and resource requirements

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

A minimum of three years’ experience in the transport, freight or logistics industry.

Experience coordinating drivers, freight, fleet or depot operations.

Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

The ability to work independently and manage changing priorities.

Sound knowledge of freight movement, route planning and logistics operations.

Confidence working in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.

Competency in Microsoft Excel, Word and transport management systems.

A current forklift license, which is essential.

Dangerous Goods and Chain of Responsibility training, which would be highly regarded.

You will be reliable, practical and comfortable taking ownership of the AM operation. You will remain calm under pressure, communicate clearly and make sound operational decisions while maintaining a strong focus on safety, service and compliance.
