About the Role
As an Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates for new home builds, ensuring pricing is competitive, profitable, and aligned with client expectations. Working closely with our sales, drafting, and construction teams, you'll help turn our clients' dream homes into reality.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely estimates for new home construction.
- Review plans, specifications, and engineering documentation.
- Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Maintain current pricing databases and supplier schedules.
- Prepare variations and cost comparisons where required.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure smooth project handovers.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
About You
- Previous experience in residential estimating is preferred.
- Knowledge of Australian residential building practices and construction methods.
- Experience with estimating software (Buildxact) and Microsoft Office.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
