Polyfoam Manufacturing is one of Australia's leading manufacturers of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) products. We are looking for a motivated and mechanically minded Trades Assistant to join our maintenance and production team at our modern manufacturing facility.

About the Role
This is a varied, hands-on position where you'll work closely with our maintenance and production teams to ensure our equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting up production machinery and tooling
- Completing tool changes and equipment adjustments
- Assisting with preventative maintenance
- Supporting breakdown repairs and fault finding
- Performing minor mechanical repairs
- Preparing machinery for daily production
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment
- Assisting with general maintenance and improvement projects as required

About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has strong mechanical aptitude and enjoys working with machinery
- Has experience in manufacturing, maintenance, mechanical assembly or a similar hands-on environment
- Is confident using hand and power tools
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- Takes pride in producing quality work
- Has a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Holds a forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
