THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Distribution / Warehouse Supervisor - QLD

to lead our warehouse and transport operations based in Rocklea.

This is a hands-on leadership role with full accountability for warehouse performance, inventory accuracy, transport coordination, safety compliance, labour management and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will lead a team of warehouse staff and drivers while ensuring the warehouse operates safely, efficiently and in line with business expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Warehouse & Yard Supervision

- Supervise daily warehouse and yard operations, including receiving, picking, packing and dispatch activities.
- Allocate daily tasks and workloads to warehouse staff and drivers as required.
- Monitor workflow to ensure operational priorities and deadlines are met.
- Provide hands-on support to warehouse operations during peak periods.

2. People Supervision & Performance

- Provide day-to-day direction, coaching and support to warehouse and yard staff.
- Reinforce expected standards of performance, conduct and attendance.
- Support onboarding and training of new employees.
- Escalate performance, conduct or attendance issues to the Operations Manager as required.

3. Inventory & Dispatch Control

- Oversee accurate receipt, storage and dispatch of goods.
- Ensure inventory discrepancies,



damages or shortages are identified and reported.
- Assist with cycle counts and stocktakes as required.
- Ensure dispatch documentation and processes are followed correctly.

4. Safety, Compliance & Site Standards

- Promote a strong safety culture within the warehouse and yard.
- Ensure all staff comply with WHS policies, procedures and PPE requirements.
- Identify and report hazards, incidents and unsafe practices.
- Ensure equipment, tools and work areas are maintained safely and appropriately.

5. Systems, Equipment & Reporting

- Ensure warehouse and yard systems are used correctly and accurately by staff.
- Maintain basic operational records and reports as required.
- Communicate operational issues, risks or improvement opportunities to management.
- Assist in implementing process improvements or changes.
- Act as a role model by demonstrating skilled conduct and safe work practices.
- Foster teamwork, accountability and clear communication within the warehouse.
- Work collaboratively with management, drivers and other departments to support business outcomes.

- Demonstrated experience in Distribution and Warehouse operations.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or senior warehouse role (preferred).
- Strong communication and people-management skills.
- Good understanding of inventory processes and WHS requirements.
- Ability to balance hands-on work with supervisory responsibilities.
- Reliable, organised and solution focused.
