The Switch Lachlan Macquarie Park opens its doors in October 2026 — a brand-new 491-bed student and co-living community in the heart of one of Sydney's fastest-growing innovation precincts. Think co-working spaces, a rooftop, communal kitchen, gym, study rooms and curated communal areas designed to bring people together.

We're not just building an accommodation product. We're building a lifestyle — inclusive, dynamic, and led by the community that lives it. And we need a Residence Manager who wants to help shape it from day one.

The role

Reporting to the General Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day running of the property and deputise for the GM when they're away — meaning real decision-making authority across operations, residents and team from the get-go. You'll be the face of The Switch: setting the service standard, owning the resident experience, and building relationships with our commercial and education partners.

You'll:

- Lead service delivery across housekeeping, maintenance, front-of-house and admin
- Own the resident experience — events calendar, community engagement, and resolving the tricky stuff
- Partner with the GM on leasing, marketing and engagement strategy, and drive occupancy, pipeline and conversion performance
- Keep the property compliant — inspections, bond management,



trust accounting, audit readiness
- Manage financial performance against budget, including arrears, cost control and reporting
- Recruit, coach and lead a hands‑on, motivated on‑site team
- Own risk management, WHS and incident response, including participating in the on‑call roster
- Contribute to annual budgeting and spot opportunities to lift NOI and resident retention

About you

- Experience in hospitality, student accommodation, co-working, events/festival management, or another customer-facing industry
- A leadership or supervisory background in customer service
- Sales or leasing experience is a plus
- A solid communicator who builds genuine relationships with residents, partners and team alike
- Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling competing priorities and deadlines
- Confident navigating real estate compliance and legislation
- Most of all: a non-conformist, tech‑savvy, ideas‑first attitude. We want people who are willing to pioneer a new kind of living — not just manage a building.
