Telescope Tyres Group is entering an exciting period of growth through current locations, business improvement and strategic acquisitions. We are looking for an experienced People, Safety & Operations Manager to help build the systems, standards and capability needed to support that growth.

This is a senior, hands-on position covering human resources, workplace safety, compliance, operational improvement and capital planning across our branch network.

The role

Reporting directly to the Director of Commercial, Growth and Operations , you will work closely with the Directors, senior management and Branch Operations Managers.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Leading HR, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and workforce planning
- Building practical performance management, development and retention programs
- Leading WHS systems, audits, incident investigations and corrective actions
- Managing physical and psychosocial workplace risks
- Maintaining Group policies, procedures and compliance requirements
- Improving the use of our WHS software across all locations
- Developing consistent operational standards across the branch network
- Leading improvement projects with measurable commercial outcomes
- Managing the Group capital expenditure register and annual capital plan
- Preparing business cases and overseeing approved capital projects
- Supporting the integration of new branches and acquired businesses
- Coordinating external HR, legal, safety and registered migration specialists

This is not simply a coordination role.



You will be expected to build frameworks, produce high-quality work yourself and work directly with branch teams to ensure improvements are implemented.

About you

You will have:

- Relevant experience in senior level operations, WHS or people leadership
- Experience working across multiple locations, ideally within an industrial, automotive, transport, agricultural or service business
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and workplace risk management
- Working knowledge of Fair Work and employment requirements
- Proven experience improving business processes and delivering measurable results
- Experience developing policies, procedures and governance frameworks
- Confidence managing workplace investigations and sensitive employee matters
- Experience with capital planning, budgets or business cases
- The ability to communicate effectively from the workshop floor through to the boardroom
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly
- Qualifications in business, HR, WHS, engineering or process improvement will be highly regarded.
