Strategic Planning Project Lead
Salary: $128,463 - $136,720 per annum
Plus up to 15% superannuation (conditions apply)
2 year Fixed Term Full Time Contract until September 2028

Shape the future of one of Perth’s key activity centres.
We're seeking an experienced strategic urban planning professional to lead the delivery of the Warwick Activity Centre Precinct Structure Plan, a high-profile project that will shape future growth, investment and development within one of the City's key activity centres.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the City's consultant-led approach to the preparation of the Precinct Structure Plan. As Project Lead, you will oversee all aspects of project delivery, including procurement, consultant management, governance, stakeholder engagement and reporting. You will provide strategic planning expertise and project leadership to ensure the project is delivered in line with the approved scope, budget and timeframe, while aligning with relevant planning legislation, policy requirements and best-practice principles.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, please submit a current resume and cover letter demonstrating your experience and capability against the following criteria:
Demonstrated experience leading and delivering complex strategic land use planning projects.
Demonstrated project management experience, including responsibility for project scope, stakeholder engagement, budget, and reporting requirements.
Demonstrated experience in the preparation, assessment or management of precinct structure plans or equivalent strategic planning projects.
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience building productive relationships, and engaging and negotiating with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Proven ability to prepare high-quality reports, recommendations, briefing materials and presentations, and to effectively communicate complex planning matters to achieve strategic planning outcomes.
The successful candidate must also hold a tertiary qualification appropriate to Urban and Regional Planning as well as a current WA ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
