LO-GO Appointments QLD is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Local Laws Officers interested in temporary contract opportunities with Local Government councils across regional and remote Queensland.
Throughout the year, our council clients regularly require skilled Local Laws Officers to assist with a variety of regulatory and compliance functions. If you are looking for your next contract chance and enjoy the diversity of working in different communities, we would love to hear from you.
To be considered, you will ideally have:
- A thorough understanding of local law enforcement and relevant legislation.
- Demonstrated experience handling animals, particularly dogs, and the ability to safely manage their behaviour.
- Experience responding to nuisance complaints and dealing professionally with members of the public.
- Proven experience conducting inspections,
investigations and achieving effective compliance outcomes.
- Well-developed communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- The ability to undertake the physical requirements of the role.
- A current Queensland Driver Licence.
- Availability to commence at short notice and work away from home for the duration of an assignment.
