About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of all plant and machinery. This is a hands-on role servicing and maintaining both proprietary and 3rd party plant and equipment, while developing the technical knowledge base needed to support and standardise maintenance across the business.

The role follows a maintenance schedule that draws on the expertise of the wider operations team and external partners, with a focus on clear, effective communication. At the core of the role is the need for a strong and committed contribution to run a smooth and effective operation, keeping plant and equipment reliable, and thereby ensuring the business's mission to Create a Safer Place is as seamless as possible.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, the key responsibilities will include:

General Management - Maintain accurate, up-to-date service records, SOPs, and asset documentation; close out work orders including parts and time used. Complete all work in line with WHS and WorkSafe Qld requirements, and support statutory equipment inspections, audits, and certifications.

Workshop Supervision - Maintain critical spares stock and flag low stock, discrepancies, or obsolete items early to keep the parts system reliable. Keep the workshop clean, organised and safe, maintain tools and equipment through routine checks and fault reporting.

Preventative Maintenance - Delivered scheduled Project Management tasks on time for plant and equipment. Report early warning signs or recurring issues to help reduce unplanned breakdowns.

Breakdown Response - Respond to breakdowns,



focussing first on critical-path assets and record downtime using standard categories to support root-cause analysis. Communicate clearly with operators and production before, during, and after a breakdown,

Project Delivery - Assist with installations, commissioning, and decommissioning of plant and equipment, including isolation, testing, and handover procedures. Identify and report opportunities for process or design improvements based on hands-on experience, and support fabrication of new parts and components from drawings and specifications.

What we are looking for

As a potential employee, we are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

5+ years' experience in manufacturing environments

Experience with system reporting, inventory maintenance, and process documentation

Experience in aluminium cutting and machining, CNC machines, welding and powder coating equipment which all form part of the production environment

Experience with pneumatics and PLC systems is desirable

Demonstrate organisational skills with the ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and self-motivate

You must have a robust team focus - working closely with internal and external stakeholders

Proficiency in operations of Microsoft Office suite
