An exciting opportunity exists for a Package Engineer to join Monadelphous’ PNG Operations team in Brisbane. This 12-month role offers the opportunity to contribute to major projects and includes potential site travel.

This high paced position will provide technical expertise across procurement, estimating, contractual correspondence, quality assurance, and internal/external stakeholder management for a program of works.

Key responsibilities include:

- Working closely with the Procurement Lead and Project Manager to ensure project objectives are met on time with respect to cost, safety and quality
- Assist with the procurement of technical equipment, materials and services, ensuring specifications, project requirements, quality standards and delivery schedules are met
- Work closely with client representatives and deliver to meet their requirements
- Manage the interface between the engineering and project delivery teams to maintain compliance with the specifications, schedules and contract
- Manage and supervise the resolution of technical queries as required
- Compile schedule, cost, progress and forecast reports for the project; ensuring all schedule reporting requirements are met
- Provide support to the project team and implement best practice on the project

What you will bring:

- Experience working in an on-site engineering or coordination position for large-scale resources construction/maintenance projects preferred
- An Australian recognised, tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or relevant Trade Certificate




- Proven experience in the development of technical specifications and scopes of work to support procurement and subcontract activities
- Proven experience in expediting vendors to meet required deadlines
- Strong written and technical skills, with an innovative approach to technical problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Experience of managing the contractual correspondence across project delivery
- Well-developed communication skills and a team-oriented, team-oriented approach with the ability to foster interpersonal relationships across all levels
- A strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
- Proof of right to work in Australia and a valid passport
