The Opportunity

u&u; Recruitment Partners are proud to be partnering with Mackay Hospital and Health Service (MHHS to recruit an AO5 Finance Officer for a 6-month contract within the Strategic Finance team.

This is a true management accounting and finance business partnering role. Reporting to the Manager, Management Accounting, you will be responsible for your own portfolio, partnering closely with operational stakeholders to support budgeting, financial reporting and informed business decisions.

This role would suit someone who enjoys building relationships with stakeholders, analysing financial information and influencing positive financial outcomes across a large and complex organisation.

On a day-to-day basis you will:

- Partner with operational leaders to provide financial advice and business support;
- Prepare budgets and monthly management reports for your portfolio;
- Analyse financial performance and provide meaningful recommendations;
- Complete month-end activities including journals, reconciliations and cost allocations; and
- Support financial planning, workforce reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Experience

To be successful in this position,



you will have previous experience within management accounting or financial analysis and be confident partnering with stakeholders across a large organisation. You will enjoy working collaboratively, have solid analytical skills and be comfortable managing competing priorities.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

- Previous experience in management accounting or financial analysis;
- Experience preparing budgets and financial reports;
- Strong business partnering and stakeholder engagement skills;
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using large ERP systems (SAP highly regarded); and
- Ability to meet Mackay Hospital and Health Service (MHHS) mandatory vaccination requirements, including MMR, chicken pox, whooping cough and TB screening.
