Trade Assistant — Shower Screen Installation (Northside Truck)

Hydro Seal Shower Systems is looking for a reliable, hardworking trade assistant to join our northside installation team. You'll be out on residential sites across South East Queensland every day, working alongside an experienced head installer and learning the shower screen trade from the ground up.

Think of this as a fast-track into the shower screen trade — hands-on training every day from an experienced head installer, on real jobs, from your first week.

The difference is you're not on apprentice wages. There's no TAFE, no four-year contract, and no student pay rate. You're paid a full adult trade assistant rate from day one and you go up as your skills go up. We'll also fund your MR licence along the way.

Within twelve months the right person is measuring, setting out, and running installs with confidence. That's who we're looking for — someone who wants to build a career in this trade, not just fill in for a few months.

We're Hydro Seal Shower Systems, a Brisbane-based shower screen manufacturer and installer. We make our own product, run our own trucks, and install across SEQ every day. We're a growing business that does things properly and looks after the people who work with us.

About the Role

You’ll work alongside our head installer on our northside truck, meeting the truck in the Redcliffe / North Lakes area each morning and spending your days on residential sites across SEQ.

Full time, Monday to Friday

6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

What You’ll Be Doing





- Assisting the head installer on semi-frameless and fully frameless shower screen installations
- Two-person handling and positioning of glass panels weighing up to 60kg
- Repetitive carrying, bending, kneeling and overhead work across multiple sites per day
- Preparing and cleaning work areas before and after each job
- Learning installation techniques and site processes as you go
- Representing HSSS professionally on builder and renovation sites

What We’re Looking For

Must-haves:

- Current White Card (General Construction Induction)
- Current open Australian driver’s licence, held for 12 months or more — this is the eligibility requirement for the MR licence we’ll put you through
- Reliable transport to meet the truck in the Redcliffe / North Lakes area each morning
- Able to perform the manual handling and physical work described above
- Punctual and easy to work with — this matters more than anything

Nice to have:

- Any trade, labouring, tiling, or construction background
- Comfortable working on active residential building sites
- Applicants must have ongoing Australian work rights — citizens, permanent residents and valid work visa holders all welcome.
