WorkCon is looking for a motivated Graduate / Junior Payroll Officer to join our payroll team in Salisbury. You will receive practical, hands-on experience across payroll processing, timesheets, invoicing, employee support, reporting and statutory obligations.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working with numbers, pays close attention to detail and takes pride in getting things right and meeting deadlines.

What you will be doing

Working closely with our experienced payroll team, you will assist with:

- Reviewing timesheets, hours worked, pay rates and deductions.

- Processing accurate and timely employee payments.

- Updating employee payroll,



tax and banking information.

- Preparing client invoices based on approved timesheets.

- Responding to general payroll enquiries from employees.

- Assisting with payroll reports and internal checks.

- Supporting PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax and other statutory obligations.

- Working with payroll, finance, HR and operations to resolve discrepancies.

- Maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive employee and payroll information.

About you

We would love to hear from you if you:

- Have recently completed, or are completing, a qualification in accounting, finance or a related field; or

- Have up to two years of payroll or similar administration experience.

- Are highly detail-oriented and accurate.

- Have strong time-management and organisational skills.

- Can manage competing priorities and meet weekly deadlines.

- Communicate clearly and professionally.

- Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team.

- Are proactive, reliable and willing to learn.

- Can handle confidential information with care and discretion.

- Are comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

- Hold a current Australian driver’s licence.

Previous payroll experience is helpful but not essential. We are more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, attention to detail and willingness to develop.
