About the Role:
Rincovitch is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate/Senior Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team based in our Sydney or ACT Office.
This role will be instrumental in collaborating with clients, engineers, and drafters to deliver accurate structural designs and detailed documentation. Your expertise will support the project from initial concept through to certification, with a solid focus on providing guidance and maintaining clear communication with clients and builders throughout each stage.
Collaborate with the Rincovitch team throughout the design and construction phases to deliver high-quality engineering outcomes
Prepare structural reports, detailed designs, and technical drawings
Liaise effectively with architects, engineers, and other project professionals
Demonstrate robust knowledge of Australian design standards and engineering methodologies
Attend and contribute to design meetings, site visits, and inspections as required
Review shop drawings and documentation for accuracy and completeness
Support various business functions with full project lifecycle involvement
Assist with the successful delivery of projects and mentor junior engineers during the design stage
Act as the primary point of contact during construction, providing technical support and coordination
Independently manage and deliver accurate project computations
Ensure efficient and timely project delivery while meeting client expectations and quality benchmarks
Take initiative in managing your own workflow, demonstrating efficiency and commercial awareness
Foster and maintain strong client relationships through clear, professional, and commercially-minded communication
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior team members
Requirements
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (essential)
Full working rights in Australia (essential)
4-8 years of experience as a Structural Engineer in medium to high rise concrete structures (essential)
Advanced understanding of Australian Standards for structural design
Knowledge with computer aided software packages such as ETABS, RAPT, RAM Concept, SpaceGass, Structural Toolkit, Excel, Bluebeam etc
Excellent in hand calculations to assess loads and do spot check to compare with computer analysisand broad knowledge of construction methodologies
Three-dimensional conceptual skills
Ability to liaise with professionals from other disciplines
Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
Meticulous attention to detail with superb organisational skills
A strong work ethic, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
