Position Details

Role: Prison Cleaner

Employment Type: Casual, with the opportunity to move into a permanent position based on performance

Location: Malmsbury Youth Justice Centre, VIC

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rate: From $37.91 per hour plus penalties and superannuation

Roster: Monday to Sunday

Shift Times: 7:30 PM – 1:00 AM

What You'll Be Doing

- Clean and sanitise offices, bathrooms, workshops, and communal areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, stairs, and surfaces
- Complete occasional bio-cleaning tasks
- Follow site procedures and safety requirements at all times

What You'll Bring

- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks throughout your shift, including bending, kneeling, lifting, and standing for extended periods
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Reliable transport and a current driver's licence
- National Police Check
- Employee Working with Children Check
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment and participate in random drug and alcohol testing
