We're seeking an energetic, organised and people-focused People Experience Coordinator to help us attract, engage and support an exceptional team of Caregivers. About the Role
As our People Experience Coordinator, you'll partner closely with our Clinical Leadership Team to ensure we continue attracting, hiring and retaining outstanding Caregivers who deliver premium care to our clients.
You'll oversee the complete employee journey - from recruitment and onboarding through to engagement, development and employment/HR administration ensuring every team member experiences the Nurse Next Door difference.
As our business continues to grow, this role will also become a key member of our People & Culture function, supporting HR initiatives and helping build an exceptional employee experience.
What You'll Be Doing
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for Community Caregivers and Nurses.
- Create engaging job advertisements and manage recruitment campaigns across multiple platforms.
- Screen applications, conduct phone screens, conduct group interviews and coordinate hiring decisions.
- Build strong talent pipelines through community networking, referral programs, local universities, TAFEs and industry partnerships.
- Promote Nurse Next Door as an employer of choice.
Hiring & HR Administration
- Prepare and issue employment contracts, Letters of Offer and onboarding documentation.
- Coordinate all pre-employment compliance including police checks, reference checks and mandatory clearances.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, Fair Work requirements and company policies.
- Support payroll administration by ensuring employee documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Assist Operations Team with workforce planning and staffing requirements.
Onboarding & Employee Experience
- Coordinate and facilitate Discovery Day (2hr training day) and new employee onboarding.
- Ensure new Caregivers are confident using all Nurse Next Door systems and technology.
- Deliver an exceptional onboarding experience that sets every employee up for success.
- Support implementation of new People initiatives and organisational projects.
- Monitor onboarding progress and ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements.
Employee Engagement & People & Culture
- Champion employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs.
- Build meaningful relationships with employees to support their career development and growth.
- Coordinate employee surveys and help implement improvements based on feedback.
- Assist with employee wellbeing initiatives and our Caregiver of the Month programs.
- Help foster our positive, caring and high-performing culture.
HR Support
- Draft employment correspondence including:
- Letters of Engagement
- Contract variations
- Probation review documentation
- Performance improvement documentation
- Letters of Service
- End of employment letters
- Assist Executive Leadership Team with HR guidance, documentation and employee relations matters.
- Maintain confidentiality of all employee information.
- Support policy updates and HR compliance initiatives.
- Assist with audits, reporting and continuous improvement projects.
Workforce Support
- Work closely with the Operations and Clinical teams to ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Support workforce planning to ensure no cancelled client visits.
- Assist with scheduling solutions during peak periods when required.
- Maintain accurate employee information within AlayaCare and other internal systems.
About You
You’ll be someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and understands that a great employee experience creates an even better client experience.

- Experience in recruitment, HR coordination or People & Culture.
- Strong administration and organisational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Confidence working with multiple systems and juggling competing priorities.

- The ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- A positive, caring attitude with a willingness to go above and beyond.
- High levels of professionalism and confidentiality.
Ideally You’ll Have
- Previous recruitment experience in healthcare, aged care or community services (preferred but not essential).
- Experience preparing employment documentation and supporting HR processes.
- Knowledge of Fair Work legislation and employment practices (Nursing and SCHADs Award Experience preferred but not essential).
- Experience using workforce management systems (AlayaCare experience highly regarded).
- Strong Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar) or Microsoft Office skills.

Essential Requirements
- National Police Check (Aged Care/Vulnerable Persons) – or willingness to obtain
- Working with Children Card (Paid) – or willingness to obtain
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (Paid) – or willingness to obtain
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module – or willingness to complete
- Current QLD Driver Licence and reliable transport
- Current Australian working rights
