Ambrose®is a not-for-profit social enterprise providing Early Years Learning and School Age Care services. With a team of 550 employees and growing, we currently operate over 50 school age care and early years education services across Catholic schools in the Greater Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains region.

The Early Learning Director is the most senior position employed at the service and is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations. Their key duties include the overall planning, administration, marketing and resourcing of the service. They also are heavily active in parent discussions and are the primary point of contact for families, principals and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

- Developing and maintaining strong relationships that support and partner with families, schools and the community
- Leading and overseeing the implementation of policies and associated procedures of the organisation
- Leading and embedding continuous improvement in all areas of the service's operations
- Ensuring that a program is delivered to all children that is based on and in a manner aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Ensuring that the programs developed is based on the developmental needs, interests, and experiences of each child
- Developing each educator at the service and ensuring that they meet the qualification requirements relevant to their role as prescribed by the regulations
- Implementing and ensuring that all staff members and volunteers at the service implement adequate health and hygiene practices and safe practices for handling,



preparing and storing food in order to minimise risks to children.

Qualifications

- Bachelor of Early Childhood or Diploma-level early childhood qualification
- Current Work with Children Check (WWCC)
- Valid Child Safety Training Certification
- Current Working Rights
- Approved Child Protection Training Certificate
- Bachelor of Early Childhood or Diploma-level early childhood qualification
- Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management
- First Aid, Anaphylaxis
- Certificate IV Frontline Management or other business management qualification

Experience

- Substantial experience working with children and families in the early years
- Experience in leadership with early years’ education and care or in a similar role
- Solid knowledge of pedagogical leadership
- Experience in leading effective teams and achieving service targets
- Ensure Child Protection Policy is implemented across the service
- Ensure up to date Child Protection training is maintained by all educators and teachers
- WH&S; - risk assessments, daily and monthly term inspections, evacuation drills
- Ensure the approved provider is informed of any issues which would affect the operation of the service
