Inclusion Support Early Childhood Educator
Poppi's Preschool and Long Day Care - Miranda NSW
As an Inclusion Support Early Childhood Educator, you will play a key role in ensuring all children feel safe, supported, and empowered to participate fully in our program.
Located in our 3-5 room, working closely with an experienced and supportive team
Provide individualised and small-group support to children with additional needs, ensuring their full inclusion in daily routines, learning experiences, and play
Work collaboratively with families, inclusion agencies, therapists, and external professionals to support children’s learning, development, and wellbeing
Assist in the development, implementation, and reflection of Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and inclusive strategies
Use strengths-based and child-centred approaches to support children of all abilities
Foster a strong sense of belonging, identity, and confidence for every child
Support educators to embed inclusive practices into the daily program and setting
Promote a culture of reflective practice, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Comply with the National Quality Framework, EYLF, and Poppi’s policies and procedures
Build and maintain respectful, trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues
Contribute to a positive, nurturing, and inclusive team culture
The Role
- Part‑time position: 4 x 5-hour days per week
- Located in our 3-5 room, working closely with an experienced and supportive team

- Work collaboratively with families, inclusion agencies, therapists,
and external professionals to support children’s learning, development, and wellbeing

Requirements
- A recognised Early Childhood Education qualification
- Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
- Current Working With Children Check
- Previous experience in early childhood education (essential)
- Demonstrated experience supporting children with additional needs, including developmental delay, disability, or diverse learning needs
- Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, with a strong focus on inclusion and equity
- Understanding of inclusive practices, reasonable adjustments, and differentiated learning
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and standards, including the National Quality Standards
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with families and professionals
- A compassionate, patient, and reflective approach to supporting children’s individual needs
