About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

- Provide comprehensive security service delivery to Redcliffe Hospital staff, patients, visitors and its associated land and assets.
- Provide a first response security presence to emergency situations, such as:
- Personal threat.
- Fire response.
- Internal and external events impacting service delivery.

- Actively contribute to the de-escalation of aggression, conflict, or distress with a focus on preventing escalation by recognising the early stages of aggression and intervene proactively to diffuse situations before they escape.
- Employ evidence based de-escalation techniques, including active listening,



non-confrontational body language and verbal communication strategies.
