Clinical Nurse Consultant - Orthopaedics

A temporary part-time opportunity to provide specialist clinical expertise and leadership in orthopaedic care while supporting the delivery of a nurse-led post-operative review clinic within the Specialist Outpatient Department.

About the role

As the Clinical Nurse Consultant (Orthopaedics), you will provide advanced clinical leadership and specialist nursing expertise to support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred orthopaedic care across Redcliffe Hospital's Orthopaedic Service. Working within a nurse-led model of care, you will play a key role in the delivery of post-operative review clinics within the Specialist Outpatient Department, providing expert assessment, clinical decision-making, care coordination, and patient education for individuals recovering from orthopaedic procedures.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

- Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
- Demonstrate advanced specialist knowledge, experience, and clinical skills in orthopaedics.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and reasoning, advanced problem-solving skills and expert clinical judgement in relation to Orthopaedics .




- Responsible for the professional development of self and others utilising contemporary practice in the delivery of improved standards of care.
- May work across professional and organisational boundaries to influence health service and/or professional outcomes in relation to area of expertise.
