Good Shepherd is a new name in disability and Child & Families services, but have decades of experience working within disability and Child & Families sector. Our dedication to help other's is what brought Good Shepherd founders to branch off from their previous roles and come together to create a service where we vow to support both participants and staff to feel safe and secure.

Our Good Shepherd Support Services Team are seeking passionate, dedicated, resilient and reliable casual Disability Support Workers to empower our people with disabilities, young people & familiesto achieve what’s important to them through quality care, planning and safety outcomes delivered. Our Disability Support Workers provide quality, reliable, responsive and flexible supports in a friendly, caring and empathetic way. This is better service.

Our team is growing and we are seeking amazing Disability Support Workers who are resilient and have a sound understanding of the importance of supporting people with various disabilities.





To become part of the great team here at Good Shepherd Support Services we are looking for people who:

Are enthusiastic about supporting people with disabilities to live GREAT lives, the lives they want and choose.

Have a caring and empathetic nature.

Have completed the NDIS Support Worker Orientation Module or willingness to complete prior to commencing.

Have the ability to support others with personal care and domestic duties in a respectful way (and happy for this to be part of your job if required).

Have the capacity to meet the physical requirements of the job that may include manual handling tasks.

Enjoy working in a small team environment as well as independently if required.

Have good communication and interpersonal skills.

Have a strong sense of accountability and confidentiality.

Have completed the Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) - this isn't a 'must' - we're happy to provide training to help you get qualified.

Ability to easily relate to others.

Willingness to perform light house cleaning duties, assist with personal care and social access.

Of course there are a few ESSENTIAL Requirements (must have or commence process before working):

EMPATHY





Versatility to work with Participants with Psychosocial Disabilities and Physical Disabilities

NDIS Worker Checkfrom Service NSW

Have a current valid NSW Driver's Licence and willingness to use own vehicle (if required) with comprehensive insurance

Have a current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain prior to commencing

NDIS Supporting Effective Communication and Worker Orientation Modules (online) or willingness to obtain prior to commencing

Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain prior to commencing

Reliable, responsible attitude towards work and our participants

Access to the internet - for rosters and client reporting

Manual Handling & the ability to work with participants that require personal hygiene

Education or training in disability, mental health or community services

Lived experience of working with disability or mental health

Qualifications or studying towards Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Speech and Allied Health Assistants, or Community Services.

A passion to work with a diverse range of people
