Are you a hands-on engineer who loves optimizing production lines and empowering teams? We are seeking a Continuous Improvement & Quality Engineer to drive operational excellence across our manufacturing facility.
In this role, you will not be stuck behind a desk. You will bridge the gap between engineering strategy and the factory floor—identifying waste, modernizing quality frameworks, and actively coaching our production teams to adopt best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Optimization: Lead site Lean and Kaizen initiatives to reduce cycle times, eliminate waste, and boost overall plant efficiency.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Maintain and mature our QA frameworks (ISO 9001), manage non-conformances, and lead structured Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations.
- Staff Training & Coaching: Translate technical process changes into straightforward, actionable workflows. Lead toolbox talks, create visual Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and mentor floor operators through change.
- Data-Driven Improvement: Analyse production data and cycle times to justify capital expenditure (CapEx) and process modifications.
- Change Management: Execute Management of Change (MOC) protocols smoothly, ensuring safety and quality standards are never compromised.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 3 to 7 years of process, production, or manufacturing engineering experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or similar).
- Lean Expertise: Lean and/or Six Sigma Green Belt (or equivalent practical framework knowledge) is highly regarded.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven track record of building trust and training diverse floor-level teams.
- Problem Solving: Strong background in structured root cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.).
