We are currently partnered with a NSW Government department that is seeking an experienced Recruitment Officer to join their team based in Sydney Olympic Park. The ideal candidate will have previous public sector recruitment experience and a strong track record of managing end-to-end recruitment processes within a complex, high-volume environment. The successful individual will be available to start immediately and have demonstrated experience partnering with hiring managers to deliver timely, compliant, and high-quality recruitment outcomes. This is a temporary assignment through to mid-September 2026, with a hybrid working arrangement available following the training period.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment and hiring activities, partnering closely with hiring managers to meet workforce requirements.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on recruitment processes, policies, and best practice methodologies.
- Prepare and manage recruitment documentation, including job advertisements, shortlists, interview packs, and outcome correspondence.
- Coordinate recruitment activities across multiple streams, ensuring a positive candidate and hiring manager experience.
- Respond to and triage recruitment-related enquiries and administrative matters in a timely manner.
- Maintain HR systems and databases, including reporting through multiple data sources.
- Monitor data integrity, conduct audits, and report on recruitment KPIs and service delivery metrics.
- Meet established KPIs, including time-to-hire targets and service level standards, both individually and as part of a team.
- Ensure all recruitment activities are compliant with relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
About You
- Previous public sector recruitment experience is preferred.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end recruitment in a high-volume environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience providing recruitment advice to hiring managers and key stakeholders.
- High attention to detail with strong administrative and organisational capabilities.
- Experience using HR systems and databases.
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
- Professional, adaptable, and solutions-focused approach.
- Strong understanding of recruitment compliance and best practice methodologies.
