The Role:
Based inCanberraor Adelaide, we are looking for Engineers atConsultant and Senior Consultantlevels to join our growingNuclearcapability.You’llwork alongside experienced Defence and engineering professionals supporting some of Australia’s most important and complex capability challenges.
This is an opportunity to contribute to high-assurance projects supporting Australia’sfuturenaval nuclear capability, applying your engineering skills while developing your understanding of nuclear governance,safetyand assurance principles.
You willbe responsible for:
- Supporting the delivery of engineering, advisory and assurance activities across complex Defence projects
- Applying engineering principles to analyse problems, develop solutions and support informed decision-making
- Contributing to technical documentation, analysis,reviewsand project deliverables
- Working collaboratively with engineers, technical specialists, Defencestakeholdersand industry partners
- Building your understanding of nuclear capability, including safety,assuranceand regulatory considerations
Our Ideal Candidate:
You’rean engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and wants to contribute to nationally significant Defence capability. You bring a strong technical foundation,curiosityand a willingness to learn in a highly specialised environment.
You will bring:
- Experience working in engineering roles, ideally within Defence, maritime,
infrastructure or another high-assurance environment
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply engineering principles to complex challenges
- Exposure to, or a genuine interest in, nuclear capability, nuclear safety,assuranceornaval capability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A proactive mindset and willingness to learn from experienced technical specialists
Having these other abilities would also be awesome (but not mandatory):
- Nuclear experience or qualifications, including NSQEP credentials
- Experience supporting naval, submarine, maritime or other complex Defence programs
- Familiarity with engineering assurance, systems engineering, safetymanagementor regulatory environments
As we are a Defence consultancy, you must alsohave the ability toobtain andmaintainan AGSVA security clearance.
