About the Centre
Oz Education Boambee East is a large 5 room Centre, caring for 79 children daily.The centre is equipped with modern facilities and resources, creating a nurturing environment for all children.

The Position
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Director to support the Centre Director in the daily operations of our centre. In this role, you will assist with staff management, help create a positive learning setting, and work closely with families to foster strong relationships. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the centre and supporting the team to deliver high quality care and education.
Required Qualifications & Desired Skills
Hold a Cert III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care OR
Working towards or hold a Bachelor of Education (Birth - 5 years)
Valid Working with Children Check
National Police Check
Developing knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
Ability to form positive rapport with all children, families, management and educators0
Ability to confidently and clearly communicate, relate and interact with children, families, management and educators
Child Safety Commitment
We are a child-safe organisation committed to the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children. Applicants must demonstrate a strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding responsibilities in early childhood settings.
- Current Child Protection Training (Willing to obtain if you are applying for Traineeship)
- A demonstrated understanding of child protection and safeguarding responsibilities in early childhood settings
- Knowledge of mandatory reporting obligations and relevant child protection legislation
- Understanding of professional boundaries and appropriate behaviours when working with children
- Ability to identify and respond to indicators of abuse, harm, or neglect
- Knowledge of privacy and confidentiality requirements relating to children and families
- Experience implementing child-safe policies and procedures
Applicants will be required to undergo comprehensive background checks, including:
- Working With Children Check
- National Police Check
- Verification of qualifications
- Professional reference checks
Employment is conditional upon satisfactory clearance of all child safety screening requirements.
