We are seeking a proactive and practical Shift Maintenance Fitter to join our Maintenance Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tradesperson looking for long-term job security, varied work and the chance to contribute to the ongoing reliability and improvement of our manufacturing operations.

About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Department, you will be responsible for maintaining the reliability and performance of our manufacturing plant by:

- Responding to equipment breakdowns and carrying out fault finding and repairs.
- Performing planned preventative maintenance and routine servicing.
- Completing machinery changeovers and equipment set-ups.
- Assisting with equipment overhauls and new equipment installations.
- Supporting maintenance programs and capital improvement projects that enhance safety, productivity, reliability and environmental performance.

This is a permanent full-time position working an attractive shift roster.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience maintaining manufacturing, industrial or heavy construction equipment.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience working with pumps, hydraulics, conveyors and mechanical drive systems.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Experience in MMAW (Stick) and GMAW (MIG) welding will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

Provide mechanical maintenance support to the Maintenance and Production Managers.

Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of the site's mechanical maintenance program.

Carry out maintenance activities safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Identify and report hazards, unsafe work practices and equipment issues promptly.

Work collaboratively to ensure compliance with all WHS legislation and company procedures.

Lead by example by promoting a positive safety culture.
