About the role

We are seeking an experienced Pre-Delivery Controller / Coordinator to join our team on a full-time basis at our Narangba, QLD location. This is a crucial position that sits at the heart of our vehicle delivery operations. You will be responsible for overseeing the pre-delivery inspection (PDI) process, coordinating with multiple departments, and ensuring that every vehicle leaving our dealership is in pristine condition and ready for our customers. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for quality and professionalism, and you will play a vital part in delivering an outstanding customer experience from the moment they collect their vehicle.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee and manage the complete pre-delivery inspection process, ensuring all vehicles meet company standards and manufacturer specifications
- Coordinate with service technicians, detailing teams, and other departments to ensure timely completion of all PDI work
- Maintain detailed records and documentation of all pre-delivery inspections and any rectification work completed
- Conduct quality checks and sign-off inspections on vehicles prior to customer collection
- Liaise with sales staff and customers to arrange convenient delivery times and communicate vehicle readiness
- Identify and elevate any defects or issues requiring specialist attention or warranty work




- Manage vehicle inventory and coordinate the flow of vehicles through the PDI process
- Maintain compliance with all relevant automotive regulations, safety standards, and dealership policies
- Provide training and guidance to team members involved in the pre-delivery process
- Monitor and report on PDI metrics, turnaround times, and quality performance

What we’re looking for

- Proven experience working in a pre-delivery, vehicle inspection, or quality control role within an automotive dealership or service centre
- Strong knowledge of vehicle inspection procedures, manufacturer specifications, and automotive standards
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance
- Proficiency in dealership management systems and computer literacy
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with staff at all levels and customers
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to drive a range of vehicles
- Knowledge of automotive health and safety requirements and best practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced workplace
- Experience with vehicle documentation, compliance paperwork, and record-keeping is highly desirable
