Setori Engineering Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Fitter Machinist to join our team on Tasmania's West Coast.
We provide specialist machining, mechanical maintenance and engineering services to the mining and industrial sectors and we are looking for someone who shares our commitment to quality workmanship and exceptional service.
About the Role
As a Fitter Machinist, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing equipment essential to Tasmania's mining and industrial operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Mechanical fitting, maintenance and overhaul of fixed plant equipment
- Manual machining using lathes, milling machines and other workshop equipment
- Repair and refurbishment of pumps, gearboxes and rotating equipment
- Bearing, seal and shaft repairs
- Fault finding and diagnosing mechanical issues
- Maintaining high standards of safety, workmanship and housekeeping
About You
You’ll be a qualified tradesperson who enjoys solving problems and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
You’ll ideally have:
- Strong machining and mechanical fitting skills
- Experience with pumps,
rotating equipment and fixed plant maintenance
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Current driver's licence
