Early Childhood Educator – Certificate III or Diploma (Full-Time)

Kate Cocks Community Children's Centre is a community-based long daycare centre located in the beautiful beachside suburb of Hove. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Certificate III or Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our welcoming team in our 2–3-year-old room. Applicants who are currently working towards a Certificate III or Diploma qualification are also encouraged to apply.

You will be joining a supportive team of 4–5 educators who are committed to providing high-quality education and care in a warm, inclusive, and engaging environment.

We are looking for an educator who is caring, nurturing, fun, adaptable, and passionate about supporting young children's learning and development. Experience in early childhood education is desirable, along with robust communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. We value community connections, teamwork, and creating meaningful relationships with children and families.

This is a full time position. Part-time employment is not available for this role.

We also have casual opportunities available within the centre.

Skills and Qualifications

Applicants should have:





- Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or be working towards)

- Current Working with Children Check

- Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate (HLTAID012)

- Current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RAN) Certificate

- Sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard (NQS)

- Australian working rights

- Mandated National Child Safety Training

Your Key Responsibilities

As part of our team you will:

- Work collaboratively with fellow educators to provide high-quality education and care for children aged 2–3 years.

- Build warm, respectful, and responsive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

- Support the planning and implementation of engaging learning experiences based on children's interests, strengths, and developmental needs.

- Contribute to observations, documentation, and learning stories to support children's learning and development.

- Create a safe, welcoming, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene in accordance with legislation and centre policies.

- Work positively as part of the wider centre team,



supporting a collaborative and respectful workplace culture.
