You will manage your own caseload of recovery files, negotiating directly with customers and third parties to reach fair, cost-effective outcomes. The role involves regular phone-based negotiation, careful assessment of each case, and sound judgement in determining the most appropriate path to resolve every file. On a day-to-day basis the key responsibilities are:
- Manage an allocated portfolio of recovery files from initial contact through to resolution
- Conduct outbound negotiations with customers and third parties to reach fair settlements
- Assess each case on its merits, drawing on a sound understanding of liability and relevant obligations
- Identify vulnerability or financial hardship indicators early and respond appropriately
- Manage inbound queries and maintain clear, timely communication with all parties
- Determine the most appropriate resolution path for each file, escalating where required
