About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Supply and Risk, the ContractsAdvisor will provide expert commercial, procurement and contract managementsupport across the business.
This position is responsible for leading the full contractlifecycle from sourcing strategy and tender management through to negotiation, execution, performance monitoring and contract close-out. You will also work closely with internal stakeholders and external legal advisors to ensure commercial outcomes are achieved while managing risk and maintaining compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end contract and procurementactivities including scope development, tender preparation, requests forquotation/proposal, evaluation, negotiations and contract award.
- Lead contract development, negotiation,implementation and ongoing contract management.
- Provide commercial and contractual advice tointernal stakeholders across the business.
- Manage engagement with external legal serviceproviders when required.
- Monitor contractor performance against agreed KPIsand identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Manage contract variations, extensions andassociated reporting.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date contractdocumentation within the Contracts Management System.
- Support commercial negotiations and supplierrelationship management.
- Develop strong working relationships withoperational leaders, suppliers and contractors.
- Ensure contract activities comply with relevantlegislation, company policies and governance requirements.
- Assist in developing, implementing and continuouslyimproving contract management processes, risk monitoring systems andreporting.
- Deliver training and guidance to stakeholders oneffective contract management practices.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
- 5-10 years' experience in contracts, procurement orcommercial management within the mining or resources sector.
- Tertiary qualifications in Law, Commerce, Business,Finance or a related discipline.
- Solid understanding of contract law, procurementprinciples and commercial risk management.
- Experience managing the full contract lifecyclewithin an operational environment.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder engagementskills.
- Strong analytical, organisational andproblem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and the ability to managemultiple priorities.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- A collaborative approach with the ability to buildtrusted relationships across all levels of the business.
