THE ONE STONE MASONRY PTY LTD is a Queensland-based stone masonry company specialising in the installation and fabrication of natural and engineered stone for residential and commercial projects. We are committed to delivering exceptional craftsmanship, quality workmanship, and outstanding customer service.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Stonemason to join our growing team. The successful applicant will be responsible for cutting, shaping, installing, repairing, and finishing stone products for a variety of construction and renovation projects.

Key responsibilities

- Interpret construction drawings, job specifications and measurements to plan fabrication and installation work.
- Select, measure and prepare natural and engineered stone materials for each project.
- Cut, shape, edge, polish and finish stone using specialised machinery and hand-held equipment.
- Prepare installation surfaces and apply suitable adhesives, mortar and other fixing materials.
- Install stone benchtops, splashbacks, wall cladding, fireplaces, staircases and other custom stone features to a high standard.
- Assemble and secure stone panels,



slabs and other masonry components while ensuring structural integrity and quality finishes.
- Use precision measuring and levelling equipment to ensure installations are square, level and correctly positioned.
- Carry out repairs, alterations and restoration of existing stonework as required.
- Set up and use access equipment, including restricted-height scaffolding, where necessary and in accordance with workplace safety requirements.
- Maintain tools, machinery and a safe, organised work area while complying with all workplace health and safety procedures.

Requirements - capabilities and competencies

- Minimum 3 years' relevant work experience as a Stonemason.
- Experience working with granite, marble, engineered stone, porcelain, and other natural stone materials.
- Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring equipment.
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
