Project Consultant – Sustainability and Climate Change
We are looking to engage a Project Consultant – Sustainability and Climate Change to join our New South Wales team.
This role involves all aspects of sustainability consultancy across local and national projects. You will support a high performing team, contribute to strategic bids, business development and gain exposure to high level conceptual project strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on iconic buildings & infrastructure projects.
- Handle deliverables for medium scale projects or parts of larger projects.
- Contribute to project planning, project management, budgeting and controls.
- Liaise with clients and suppliers to develop project briefings and sourcing information.
- Apply a deep understanding of sustainability/ESD principles to solve complex problems, particularly on decarbonization of infrastructure assets.
- Produce designs and reports to meet client requirements.
- Present at and contribute to client meetings and workshops.
About You – Required Experience & Skills
- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent sustainability related discipline.
- Minimum 4+ years industry experience as a sustainability consultant or similar role, preferably with specific experience with building or infrastructure design and delivery.
- Demonstrated experience in project leadership on small and medium scale sustainability focused projects.
- Experience with best practice certification schemes such as Green Star, NABERS, NatHERS, BASIX, ISC IS ratings.
- Exposure to technical analysis covering energy, water and waste modelling, climate resilience and life‑cycle analysis.
- Basic theoretical knowledge of engineering/scientific principles to analyse, interpret and conclude project requirements and challenges.
- Passionate about developing solutions for a low‑carbon, sustainable built environment.
- Familiarity with IES, First Rate or HERO software desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
