Slamm Services Pty Ltd is a locally owned and operated civil construction company based in the Mackay region. We specialise in civil construction, asset maintenance, labour hire and plant hire, delivering projects safely and efficiently across the mining, resources and infrastructure sectors.

Due to continued growth, we're looking for a motivated Project Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the successful delivery of our projects.

Project Engineer (Civil)

About the Role

Reporting to the management team, you'll be responsible for coordinating and delivering civil construction projects from planning through to completion. You'll work closely with clients, supervisors, subcontractors and site crews to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide project engineering support across civil construction projects, including cost control, project scheduling, quality assurance and technical engineering solutions.
- Support project delivery from tender stage through to completion, including estimating, quotations, tender submissions, methodologies and project planning.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, Gantt charts, construction documentation and reporting to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and commercially.
- Provide technical support to site teams, supervisors and clients, assisting with problem-solving and delivering practical engineering outcomes.




- Contribute to the successful growth of the business by identifying opportunities, supporting tenders and assisting with the planning and execution of new projects.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

- A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Project Engineer within civil construction.
- Strong knowledge of earthworks, drainage, roadworks, concrete or infrastructure projects.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapid-paced environment.
- Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving skills.
- Current Driver Licence.

Desirable:

- Experience working in the mining or resources sector.
- Supervisor qualifications or leadership experience.
