REFRIGERATION/ AIR CONDITIONING TECHNICIAN FOR MINING INDUSTRY

Warren Ward Refrigeration is currently seeking experienced refrigeration and air conditioning technicians to join the Mining division of our service team.

In this role you will have the chance to use your existing skills to provide breakdown and preventative maintenance services in addition to being part of a team to undertake project work in different parts of the Hunter Valley mining industry.

Previous experience in a mining environment is advantageous however is not necessary. As part of this team you will be given the opportunity to work along side other experienced technicians and to learn things that aren't always readily seen in the refrigeration industry. We like to multi skill our people, and as such you will be part of a team to service and repair air conditioning and refrigeration equipment such as Package units, ice machines, air dryers, underground air conditioning units, chillers, VRFs, split systems, split ducted systems, ventilation systems and air conditioning systems on field mining equipment such as electric draglines and face shovels.

In addition you will assist on shutdowns where we rebuild some of these systems from the ground up as part of some of our reliability initiates that we employ for our customers.



You will also at times be part of our install teams where we install specialised air conditioning to large switch rooms and other buildings in a mining environment.

You are given the option for a flexible roster (8 or 9 day fortnights) and the opportunity to partake in scheduled overtime shifts along with the occasional after hours callouts, where you will be paid penalty rates and on-call allowances where applicable.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

- Commitment to Safety
- Commitment to Customer Service
- Arc tick Refrigerant Handling License
- Drivers license
- Automotive Air Conditioning experience (Preferable, however not necessary)
- Mining experience (Preferable)
