We're partnering with a well-established, medium-sized insurance group to appoint a Financial Reporting Manager into their Group Finance team. The organisation have excellent work life balance, a stable, high performing finance team and offer hybrid working arrangements (two days in office, three days from home).
Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting, you'll lead a small team and take ownership of the delivery of statutory and regulatory reporting, while playing a key role in technical accounting, process improvement and projects across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of two finance professionals.
- Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
- Oversee statutory reporting and financial statement preparation.
- Ensure compliance with APRA, ASIC, AASB and IFRS reporting requirements.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and maintain a strong financial control environment.
- Partner with auditors and coordinate the year-end audit process.
- Provide technical accounting advice across the business.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within the reporting function.
- Support finance transformation and broader strategic projects as required.

About You
- CA or CPA qualified.
- Experience within the insurance industry is essential.
- Strong background in financial, statutory and regulatory reporting.
- Solid understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and in particular IFRS 17.
- Previous leadership experience, or ready to step into your first people management role.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
