Midas Dental Erskineville has an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Dental Assistant to join our friendly team! We are looking for a motivated candidate who wants to gain practical, on the job experience while completing a nationally recognised Certificate III in Dental Assisting.

About the opportunity:

Working under close direction and supervision, your tasks will include, but are not limited to:

- Chair side assisting during a range of general and cosmetic dental procedures
- Preparing patients, instruments and treatment rooms for dental treatment
- Sterilisation and infection control in line with practice protocols
- Meeting and greeting patients as they arrive at the practice
- Reception duties, including answering phones and scheduling appointments
- Processing HICAPS and EFTPOS payments
- Maintaining and monitoring clinical stock, and placing orders as required
- General housekeeping to keep the practice clean, tidy and presentable

- High attention to detail, particularly around hygiene and infection control
- Solid organisational and time management skills
- The ability to work well within a small, close knit team
- Able to work on Saturday Fornightly.

Previous experience in this field or in customer service will be highly regarded, however it is not essential as full training will be provided.
