Who we are

Tweed Coast Support Services is an NDIS provider for people with psychosocial, neurological and neurodivergent diagnoses, and people on SIL funding living in their own homes.

We're not a big national provider. We're a small, local team, and that's exactly why we can take the time to really get to know the people we support — their rhythm, their routines, what matters to them. Small team, big heart — it's how we work, and it's the kind of team you'd be joining.

About the role

As a Disability Support Worker, you'll support participants in their own homes and out in the community — helping with daily living, personal care, and getting involved in the activities and routines that make up a good life.

No two days look the same, and that's the point. You'll get to properly know the people you support, so the care you give fits their life.

What you'll be doing

- Everyday support
- Support with personal care — dressing, bathing, grooming and daily routines — always with dignity and choice front and centre
- Help with health and wellbeing, including routine checks and medication support where required, working alongside healthcare providers as needed
- Help build everyday living skills — cooking, budgeting, shopping, and the small stuff that adds up to real independence
- Out and about
- Support community access, social activities and outings that matter to each participant
- Help participants build confidence and connections through their community
- Communication and record-keeping

- Communicate clearly and respectfully with participants, families and other professionals involved in someone's care
- Keep accurate, timely notes and records
- Follow safe work practices and keep an eye out for anything that could put someone at risk
- Respect every participant's rights, dignity and their right to make their own choices
- Follow the NDIS Code of Conduct and our own policies and procedures
- Working as a team
- Join team meetings, training and supervision sessions
- Work alongside teammates, health professionals and families to keep support consistent

About you

- You’ll need genuine hands-on experience in disability or aged care support, along with real care for helping people live life their way.
- Previous experience in disability support, aged care, or a closely related field
- Strong communication skills, and the patience to really listen
- Comfortable working solo and as part of a team
- Adaptable — some days go to plan, some days don't, and that's okay

What you’ll need

- Previous experience in disability or aged care support
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain before starting)
- National Police Check & Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain before starting)
- Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willing to obtain before starting)
- A valid driver's licence and reliable, insured vehicle
- A reasonable level of physical fitness for the demands of the role

Preferred

- Certificate III in Disability Services or an equivalent qualification

What we offer

- Award rates, including penalty rates
- Flexible shifts to fit around your life — mornings, evenings, weekends
- Room to grow into part time or full-time hours
- A small, close-knit team — not just a name on a roster
- Ongoing training and development, not just a box-ticking induction

You’ll need to be based between Pottsville and the Gold Coast, with full working rights in Australia.
