Sydney Design and Landscaping – Sydney CBD NSW

Sydney Design and Landscaping is seeking an experienced and dedicated Landscape tradesman to join our team. This is a full-time position based in Sydney NSW 2000. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality landscaping projects across residential and commercial sites throughout Sydney. You will work both independently and as part of a team, bringing your technical expertise and craftsmanship to create outdoor spaces that transform properties and exceed client expectations. This position is crucial to maintaining our reputation for excellence and delivering outstanding results that reflect our commitment to quality design and professional service delivery.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and maintaining garden beds, including soil cultivation, mulching and planting a variety of trees, shrubs and flowers

Constructing and installing hardscaping features such as pathways, patios, retaining walls and garden edging using appropriate materials and techniques

Operating landscaping equipment safely, including mowers, trimmers, excavators and other power tools

Performing grounds maintenance tasks including lawn mowing, pruning, weeding and debris removal

Installing irrigation systems and maintaining existing water features and drainage solutions

Reading and interpreting landscape designs and plans to ensure projects are completed to specifications

Transporting materials, tools and equipment to and from job sites

Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment whilst adhering to all health and safety regulations

Communicating with supervisors, team members and clients regarding project progress and requirements

Maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition

What we're looking for

Proven experience working as a landscape tradesman or in a related horticultural or landscaping role

Strong knowledge of plants, horticulture and landscaping principles





Proficiency in operating landscaping machinery and hand tools safely and effectively

Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour for extended periods in varying weather conditions

Sound understanding of health and safety standards within the landscaping industry

Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and technical drawings

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic

Current driver's licence and reliable transport to job sites

Relevant qualifications such as landscape certification or horticultural training are advantageous

Experience with hardscaping, irrigation systems or turf laying is preferred
